For nearly four centuries, the Waning diminished magic, spirits, Faerie crossings and ancient enchantments until later generations dismissed many old accounts as exaggeration. Then, twenty-three years ago, the decline ended. Artifacts awakened, spirits returned, old roads reopened and impossible places began appearing across the continent.
These Returned Places look centuries old despite appearing overnight. Their inscriptions describe dynasties that never ruled, wars that never happened and maps of a Vaelora whose history is wrong. Many show no Empire of Corvannis at all. In its place stands the vast Eternal Seat.
The Future Map
A recovered map dated seventeen years in the future accurately shows new roads and settlements, but every present kingdom has vanished beneath the Realm of the First Sovereign.
The Concord
A cross-cultural institution that records supernatural threats, charters independent Circles, preserves dangerous knowledge and coordinates responses when ordinary authorities are outmatched.
Circles
Chartered free companies of Hunters, Moonborn, Returned and Awakened. Members may work alone, in partnerships or assemble the whole company for dangerous contracts.
