Vaelora’s largest monotheistic faith worships Avar, the One, the Creator and the Eternal Flame. Spirits, Gentry, Mages and ancient supernatural beings may be powerful, but the Church rejects every claim that such beings are gods.
Its central moral teaching holds that what was freely given by Avar—life, will, conscience and the capacity to choose—must not be unjustly taken from another. Magic is judged by its use rather than condemned by its existence.

The Returning Crisis
Returned temples dedicated to Avar appear older than the Church itself. Some contain prayers resembling modern liturgy and contradictory references to the First Sovereign.
